First Grade Explorations
First-graders explored vowel tents and a host of math activities, and loved learning everything about bats, from reading the book “Stellaluna,” about a young fruit bat, to using tape measurers to see how long their own wingspans are. They also discovered the smallest and largest bats in the world, learned the difference between nocturnal and diurnal animals, and painted bats with watercolors.
